Linocut prints are made by cutting using specialist lino cutting tools, cut by hand on linoleum. Individual lino must be cut and printed for each colour.

Scraperboard: a board coated in a fine layer of white china clay which is itself coated in a fine layer of black indian ink. The black surface is removed by engraving to reveal the white beneath. The original is then lithographically reproduced.
